The Daily Journal recently reported on the firm's successful settlement of the Merced County Superior Court case of Trevino, et al. v. Merced Irrigation District, et al. wherein Mick Marderosian represented the family of a young four-year-old boy who unfortunately lost his life when he drowned after falling into a Merced canal. The drowning was witnessed by his young two-year-old brother who was also a plaintiff. The case settled when the canal company on the eve of trial agreed to pay the largest award ever paid by it as a result of a drowning. The case settled for $500,000. Click here to view full report.

On Friday, May 11, 2007, Marderosian, Runyon, Cercone, Lehman & Armo was awarded the "Pro Bono Firm of the Year" for helping indigent people with their access to the judicial system. This award was presented to the firm at the Fresno County Bar Association Law Day luncheon on Friday, May 11, 2007, before judges of the California Supreme Court, Fifth District Court of Appeals, and Fresno County Superior Court. The firm, who is celebrating its 30th year, has offices in Fresno, Los Angeles, and Seattle and specializes in civil trial litigation, real estate, business and family law.

On Wednesday, January 31, 2007, a press conference and reception was held at the firm's new offices in Fresno to unveil its new $3 million and 18-month transformation and expansion of its century-old Fulton Mall building into a "sleek, modern office that reflects the progressive interests of its partners, including pop culture and sports." The reception was attended by the press and representatives of the City of Fresno.
In addition to speakers Mick Marderosian and Fresno City Councilmember Cynthia Sterling, Marlene Murphey, Executive Director of the City's Redevelopment Agency, spoke in recognition of the firm's efforts to revitalize Downtown Fresno.

On Wednesday, October 18, 2006, the Merced Sun-Star broke the story on a significant environmental case the law firm has taken on behalf of 475 Merced residents who have been impacted and damaged by years of illegal sewage treatment plant violations and continued storm flooding events which have also contributed to the disbursement of dangerous contaminants rendering the affected area uninhabitable and unsafe to human health.
